The quickest and easiest way to reach Krabi is by air , it is about 1 hour and 20 mins from Bangkok by plane with several flights daily.

About Krabi

This coastal province on the Andaman seaboard is 814 kilometres south of Bangkok , covering an area of 4,709 sq.km. It adjoins Phang-nga and Surat Thani on the North; Trang and the Andaman Sea on the South; Trang and Nakhon Si Thammarat on the East; and Phang-nga and the Andaman Sea on the West. Krabi's topography is mostly mountains and highlands alternated with plains in some parts. The provincial administration also covers more than 130 islands in the Andaman Sea . The sandy soil conditions are suitable for growing various agricultural products, particularly rubber trees, palms, coconuts, cashew nuts and coffee. The Krabi River flows 5 kilometres through the city and joins the Andaman at Pak Nam Sub-district . There are several streams which originate from the province's highest mountain range, Khao Phanom Bencha.

Staying in Krabi

Krabi town
There is a good number of accommodation ranging from top-end hotel to guesthouse in town. However, most of the places are of budget and midrange levels. High class hotels are centered around Uttarakit Road which is parallel to the river, while guesthouses abound in the south of town.

Au Nang
Being a newly-developed seaside resort, a large number of bungalows, inns and hotels are available along Au Nang and nearby beaches, such as Rai Leh, Tham Phra Nang and Nam Mao.

Phi Phi Islands
Accommodation on Phi Phi Don is centered around Au Ton Sai and Au Lodalum, its main attractions. If you plan to visit Phi Phi during high season between December and April, advance bookings are highly recommended.

Lanta Yai Island
Accommodation can be found along almost all beaches on this resort island. But Khlong Dao and Phra Ae beaches at the northwestern are the most crowded as they are long, wide and the loveliest. The upmarket bungalows are concentrated on the northern part of Khlong Dao Beach just south of Ban Saladan Pier.
